One benefit of working in a primary school and having 6 weeks off during the summer is that I was lucky enough to be able to spend 3 weeks in sunny Spain during the months of July and August. I was with my 20 year old daughter for the first week, joined by my husband and 19 year old son for the second week, and spent the final week with my husband and daughter as my son had returned home.
Having more time than normal, I took the opportunity to check my breasts as I know all women should do regularly. Realistically, I rarely remember to do so. To my surprise, I came across a pea sized lump in my left breast. I didn’t panic in any way as I was fully aware that most breast lumps are nothing to worry about. Consequently, I didn’t take any further action until I returned from holiday a couple of weeks later.
